Just be with it…
Friday night was powerful.
11 souls filled the floor… after we got started, each one slowly moving into their own experience, on the way to their own journey inward… guided simply by their breath and their willingness to let go. Trusting the infinite wisdom of their body to release what they were never meant to carry.
There’s something that happens in that space that’s hard to explain… but you can feel it.
The mind quiets… the body begins to speak… and what’s been held underneath starts to rise.
It becomes palpable. I could feel the energy rising as I moved around the room, almost as though it had the capacity to weave each individual experience together and transform it in its own way. Breathing in healing and light, releasing all the darkness with movement, sounds, and words that were never allowed to be spoken.
Afterward, one person said, “I was gone.”
Another shared that she looked up and saw her spirit guide in the room.
Different experiences… same truth.
When the body is given space…
when the breath is allowed to lead…
when we trust enough to let go of control…something opens.
And what’s ready… moves.
Every time I have the honor of holding space and being an empathic witness to this collective experience, I am humbled, emotional, and also reminded of how much we are all carrying.
And also that we are capable of BEING WITH IT and releasing it.
THAT IS THE WORK.
There’s no real way around it if you want true healing.
Breathwork may not be the thing for you—and that’s okay. There are other ways.
But eventually, the energy that’s been held inside, pushed down for so long because we didn't have the capacity or support to navigate it in the moment—the words that were never spoken, the feelings that never had space, the truth we can't tell ourselves—has to be felt, or it stays and looks for other displaced ways to express itself. And it will. That's just how it is. It's not my theory. It's how it works for all of us.
Dr. Gabor Mate' ended our community call last week with these words: "People, just be with it. Just be with it."
So much gratitude for everyone who showed up, dropped in, and trusted the process.
Let the journey continue.
It is done. It is so.
